Scavenger Hunt Sunday!

 It's Scavenger Hunt Sunday time!  

First ~ Windows/Doors ~ This is part of a door! I loved the way the light was streaming into the room, it was sunset and the light was just beautiful.

 

Second ~ Eyelashes ~ My daughters pretty eye.

Third ~ Paint ~ An old peeling fence near our house.

Fourth ~ Leaf Veins ~ Not much I can say about this, it's a leaf!

Fifth ~ Faceless Portrait ~ My daughter, I like the way her hair looks in this photo.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday!

Well it's Sunday again! Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's out there. I was able to get all my pictures this week, I just wish I could manage to get two weeks in a row but something always seems to come up! We went away last weekend so that's why I wasn't around. Anyway, here are my photos for the week. 

First ~ Emotion ~ I didn't really no what to put for this prompt but this photo of my daughter gets me emotional. She is growing up so fast! She starts High School in August, HIGH SCHOOL!!! I just can't believe it, time just keeps flying by and it makes me emotional, ha!

 

Second ~ Flowers point of view ~ Well I went with the obvious, the sky! I like this photo because the clouds almost look like outer space.

Three ~ Natural Frame ~ Ok, this wasn't a natural frame, but I liked this photo too much not to post it and I think the pool and the chairs make a cool frame for the person in the pool.

Fourth ~ Letters ~ I've seen this done a a lot and I've always wanted to do it, I think it came out nice.

Fifth ~ Bliss ~ Sitting by the ocean is always blissful for me! I love the sound and the smell and the feel of the salt air. It just always makes me feel good to be at the beach.

I use Paint Shop Pro X2 for all my editing. This image is made up of multiple layers of textures. Some in soft light, overlay and saturation. I just play around until I come up with something I like. I also straightened the horizon and sharpened the image. To see more great edits head on over to:

"Your best shot" Contest

There is a "best shot" contest going on over at The Paper Mama. She has some great prizes! Here is my entry. I just love this picture of my daughter. I think the unusual composition along with the color just make it pop. The only thing I don't like is that she looks older than 14, but I'm sure she doesn't mind.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday!

It's sunday and I actually got some photos for this week's scavenger hunt! Yea, I'm quite shocked myself! 

First ~ Hot Hot Hot ~ Well we were lucky enough to go out on our friends boat last weekend, but I have to say it was HOT, like Africa hot! I sweated through my pants it was so hot. What was worse was that I had to walk through a restaurant in those same pants, yea not fun. Anyway this is a picture of my lovely daughter on that hot hot day. She was looking hot in the good way, me not so much!

Two ~ Finding form ~ I love these little bottles. When I finish with them I remove the labels and keep the bottles, not that I have any idea what to do with them. The is totally SOOC, I didn't even crop it, love the way it came out.

Three ~ Chore ~ Well since I am being healthier I need to cook all my meals now so my sink is always full of dirty dishes. I am sick of seeing them, and washing them!

Fourth ~ Beads ~ Just a cute necklace I bought a few weeks ago, I need to wear it more often. This is also SOOC, just cropped.

Fifth ~ Front Page News ~ Ok, I do not get the news paper. Any news I do hear about is usually on my Yahoo home page, but I didn't feel like taking a photo of that. The news is depressing and during the summer I try to not even watch it. So here is some news, if you are brave enough to free lens you can get some shots that look like you own a Lens Baby, now that's what I call news!
