Finally got to the railroad for some portraits!

It was a lot of fun and a good learning experience. I think I need to close the aperature just a little more, it was hard to get a crisp shot. All in all I am happy with a few of them, too bad it was so hot or I would have taken more.

    Great shots! I've been wanting to do some at the tracks, but my son nor the weather neither one will cooperate!

    Nice compositions and DOF. Do you mind me asking what lens you were using? I do portraits as well and am considering a new lens.

    Thanks for replying, Christine! I also have used the nifty-fifty, but it seems to get better sharpness, it needs to be at an aperture of at least 2.8 or sometimes even higher. Which kinda stinks if your light isn't the best!
