Took this picture of my daughter painting her toes before we went on vacation. She's getting pretty good at it so I made her do mine!

{one} Wish or dream:

Well I wish to take better and better pictures and I dream of doing it professionally but I really didn't have a picture to represent that so I chose this photo for it's dream like quality. 

{two} Clean:

I don't know why I had a hard time with this... maybe it's because I didn't clean much this week and my house was a mess! So I went with my cleaning supplies which, if I must be honest, don't get enough use!



{three} Currency:

We keep a cup in our cabinet where all my husbands loose change goes.... hmmmm wonder how much is in there?

{four} Pair:

Ok, I used this picture for Macro Friday, but it really was so perfect that I had to use it again, plus the other picture I took was boring.

{five} Square:

Went to Big Lots (yes I love this store) the other day and found these cute square soaps. They were originally from Target (hello another great store) but they had them here, 2 in a box for only a dollar! Score!!!

I know it's actuallly Thursday now but I just saw this and I thought it would be nice to have something on this blog other than pictures!

 

{one} have you ever won a trophy? if yes, for what?

When I was a kid I won a third place trophy in a ping pong tournament.... is it sad that there were only three kids competing? I'm sure I got some for soccer that they gave to everyone of the team.

{two} what was your favorite subject in school?

Does art count? I really didn't like school... I find it amazing on went on to get my BBA degree!

{three} what time do you get up in the morning?

Too early! Anywhere between 5:30 and 6:30... even on weekends!

{four} if you could open your own business, what would it be?

Natural Light on Location Photographer!!!!!!!!!

{five} if you could spend the evening with one rock star/band, who would it be?

I like a lot of music but really have no favorite band.... I guess it would be cool to hang out with Michael Buble', he's really good and he seems kinda cool too!

{six} what sitcom character reminds you of you?

I have no idea, maybe Christine from "The Adventures of Old Christine", and we have the same name too!

{seven} what are the 3 most important things to you?

My family, my friends, and I'll be vain here and say my camera but God is up there too ; )

{eight} chips or popcorn?

I like both but I guess I'd pick chips with ridges.

{nine} have you ever ordered anything from an infomercial?

I don't think so.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday!

1. Landscape - This was the hardest one since I didn't really leave home except when we drove up to this lake last weekend. I know it's not really a landscape but I really like this photo of my husband and daughter. And I figure the shoreline is a landscape right? Right? Your all with me on this right?

2. Power line - I kept forgetting to bring my camera out with me because we do not have power lines in my neighborhood, they are underground. Finally got this shot on the way out of my sub-division!

3. Newspaper - We don't get the newspaper but we do get a free thing each week, of course someone stole mine this week. I was about to give up on this one and I remembered I have a bunch of old papers I saved that have articles in them about my husband. He is a golf pro and sometimes he is asked to give an interview or some golf tips so I always save the articles.

4. Pose - I posed my cat the other day to look like a lion for another contest about "funny". I hope he wins, cause I think it's a riot!

5. Hobby - Well besides photography I used to really be into digital scrapbooking. I really need to do some more pages, I have really slacked off and I really do enjoy it and I want to have all these memories saved for my daughter for when she is older.

Fix it Friday at I heart Faces!

Fix it Friday time over at I heart faces again. This weeks picture is very cute and really very good already. Here it is SOOC.

I really wanted to try something different since it already was such a good picture, so this is what I came up with.

Touch-Up Tuesday!

Thought I would post something for touch-up tuesday since I usually always do post processing of my images. Thing is I used Paint Shop Pro X2 while most use Photo Shop so I can't really tell you what I've done but I'll try. Here is the SOOC shot:

It's ok but I think it's sorta drab and dull and her skin has a bluish grey color since it was taken in the shade. Here is the photo after I worked on it:

I ran the digital noise remover, sharpened the eyes, used the blemish remover. Then I added some warm textures that I used in dodge, overlay and multiply modes at different levels. I don't use any pre-made actions since I can't with Paint Shop Pro so I make them up as I go. Let me know if you like it. : )

Took a drive to Lake Sinclair

Tried to get a few portraits of my daughter. Once again they are not super sharp, I keep forgetting to set the apperature to 8 which is supposed to be the sweet spot on this new lens of mine. These are all set to 4. Did find a cool old barn to pose her in front of, too bad it's sooo far from home!
