I've seen this type of shot done before and I just loved it so I thought I would try it myself. It really wasn't hard to do. I think I would have the room lighter but otherwise I am happy with it.

I ♥ Faces "Black" photo challenge!
This week the challenge is for your photo to have some black in it but not be a black and white photo. I just took a bunch of pictures of this cute little girl for a friend of mine. I love the way the black stands out against the background of gold.

Edit me challenge!
Another edit me photo challenge! I loved this picture of a vintage camera so I thought I would play around with it and see how I could edit it. Here is the original:
I don't own Photoshop. I used Paintshop Pro X2 for my editing. I used multiple textures to create this look. I also cropped it pretty tight to really focus on the camera itself.
Let me know what you think! To see more great edits head on over to:

Edit me challenge!
I love editing photos so when I saw this challenge I thought I would play along. The original picture is really pretty nice, it is just alittle dark for ma and kinda flat. The girl is really pretty so it really is an easy edit.
Here is the original:
Here is my edit:
I cropped it alittle, then added a few textures, some in overlay mode, some is softlight and one in dodge. I fixed mup her skin alittle and thats about it!

Scavenger Hunt Sunday!
Well so much for blogging more often. Atleast I was able to get my photos for Scavenger Hunt Sunday.
1. Street Photography
Ok, technically I didn't take this on the street, but I did take my camera out with me to an antique store to take some shots. I felt kinda weird but there were so many cool things to take shots of. I've seem these masks before in photos and I think they are SUPER CREEPY!
2. From a distance
Just an interesting shot of a long hallway, it's hard to see what's at the end.
3. Sunday
I took this photo last Sunday. My daughter actually posed for me and I was able to get quite a few good shots!
4. Liquid
A long time ago these old bottles used to be filled with sweet liquid. Now they are just filled with dust, but they still look cool!
5. Behind
This photo of my daughter is an example of shooting with the sun behind the subject. It usually creates a nice glow around the hair. I love this shot!
Well that's it for my shots this week, I hope you enjoyed them. To see more or play along, head on over to: www.ashleysisk.com

Third ~ Clouds ~ Took this with my cell phone at my daughters school.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday!
First ~ Old and New ~ I went with a picture I took at a very old cemetery on St. Simons Island at Old Christ Church. It's old but it was new to us as it was our first time visiting that church!
Second ~ Night Photography ~ I took this photo alittle ove a week ago but I love it and wanted to share it. Do you have any idea how hard it is to capture lightening???? I found it easiest when I set the camera down on a table and set the exposure time to 30 seconds. It was much easier to catch a bolt that way!
Third ~ Music (selfie) ~ Ok, I am assuming this ment we were to incoprorate music into our selfie. Ok, first off I hate taking pictures of myself and second, I do NOT play the guitar. My husband thought he wanted to learn many many years ago... but he never did, so we have an OLD guitar that I thought would look cool in my photo.
Fourth ~ Cheesy ~ Everybody takes pictures of their feet, myself included and I honestly don't know why we all do it because I do think it is kinda cheesy!
Fifth ~ Sun ~ Just a lovely shot of the sunrise over the atlantic while we were on Jeckyll Island. I love the shrimp boat that was going by!
Well thats all for my shots this week, I hope you enjoyed them. I really need to blog more often because it is something that I do enjoy.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday!
It's been awhile since I've participated in Scavenger Hunt Sunday. For some reason something always comes up and I just never get it done! I almost didn't get it together for this week, but this morning I went through my photos and figured I had enough photos to make it work! So here they are:
1. Walking empty streets ~ Took this picture of my daughter this week at my parents house. We spent the week visiting with family in the Pocono Mountains. Man it was HOT!!!!
2. Repeating patterns ~ Something on the front of our friends boat.
3. Floor ~ It had rained and the sun was coming up behind my parents house. The light was beautiful! I took this on the floor of the woods behind the house, it was all mossey and beautiful!
4. Then and now ~ I wanted to do a picture of my daughter and her two cousins using an old picture and a new one I took this week but i didn't feel like hunting for the old photo from 8 years ago, so I went with a before and after edit of a photo I took of my niece. She wanted me to take her Senior photos. First is the then shot.
Now:
5. Fingertips ~ My daughter holding a fishingrod.
Those are my interpretations for the week. To see more or to play along, head on over to:
