Paper Mama Photo Challenge - Family

The Paper Mama

This weeks challenge is Family. Well I only have the one child, and the one husband of course... took this picture of my daughter this week in sunny Florida, it was freezing, but I love the shot!

Scavenger Hunt Sunday!

It's that time again! I missed last week because we were on vacation at Fernandina Beach, FL. So most of my pic's this week are from our trip!

If I may stand on my soapbox here people, for the LOVE OF PETE please go into your account settings and turn off your word verification for leaving comments! I can't tell you how annoying that is to have to type in that cryptic word just to leave a comment. Then seeing it has to be approved is also kind of annoying because are you people really getting nasty comments? Ok, my rant is done. Carry on...

First ~ Family - This is my husband and daughter looking for shark teeth on the beach.

Second ~ Motion Blur - This is my husband bowling. My daughter actually got her thumb stuck in a bowling ball. I was able to soap it up in the bathroom to get it out.

Third ~ Pretty Package - I really didn't have any pretty packages all tied up in bows but I did get this shot of the tree before all the packages were ripped open!

Fourth ~ Glow - The sunrise from the condo porch one morning was so beautiful. I love that I caught the seagulls flying by.

Fifth ~ Sparkle - The sea foam hitting the shells and sand sparkled nicely in the early evening hours.

Thanks for looking! Hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday!

Scavenger Hunt Sunday!

Yes it's that time again, time for another scavenger hunt hosted by Ashley over at Ramblings and Photos.

1. Holiday colors ~ I think green, red, gold and white are the big colors this time of year. I made that ornament, I know aren't I cool?

2. Winter/Holiday Icon ~ I was going to do Santa or a snowman but I went with the real icon of Christmas, Jesus, Mary and Joseph.

3. Tree ~ My tree all heart bokeh'ed for Christmas!

4. Quiet ~ One morning a few days ago we woke to a light snow. I went out in the yard as the sun was coming up to get some shots and it was so quiet. Early morning is becoming my favorite time of day, I love the quiet.

5. Favorite Color ~ Well I like all earth tones but my favorite now is a toss up between gold and green so I went with gold.

Well thats it for my hunt photos, to see more or to play along head on over to:

I ♥ Faces "Self Portrait" photo challenge!

This weeks challenge is to take a self portrait..... not my favorite thing to do, but I went ahead and did it anyway. Not sure why it's so hard to be in front of the camera, but it is a good learning experience!

I took this laying down on my deck, it was FREEZING! I had to hold the camera above my head a snap away. My hands were so cold I almost dropped it on my face!

Scavenger Hunt Sunday!

Ok, it's Sunday again... and of course I wasn't prepared! But I realized I did have photos for everything! Woot.... so here we go:

1. In my home ~ Well in my home right now is the 8ft. tree I picked up by myself at Lowes and actually got in the stand by myself. I never have the patience to wait for my husband to get home.

2. It's beginning to look a lot like...... Christmas of course! And damn the days are flying by and I still have SOOOOO much to do!

3. Sweet Treat ~ Ok this one I had to think about because I didn't feel like taking a pictue this morning. This is my daughter eating my marshmallow, brown suger, sweet potato casserole! Yum!

4. Time ~ Like I said it is moving way to fast! I need it to stop for awhile or atleast slow down...

5. Everyday ~ For the past year or so the one thing I want to do everyday is take GOOD pictures. It has become almost on obsession. I hate when I take pictures that don't turn out well, so everyday I strive to take some like this:
Well thats it for me this week. To play along and see more great photos head on over to:

"Fix it Friday" For I Heart Faces!

The original SOOC shot is pretty, but I think the colors are kind of dull and I think it has too much background and doesn't focus enough on the cute little girl. I love her outfit! I really went crazy with this edit, I just felt like doing something fun and different. Let me know what you think. If you want to see more fixes head on over to http://www.iheartfaces.com/

Scavenger Hunt Sunday!

It's Sunday again and time for another Scavenger Hunt. This week the items weren't too hard an hopefully I did good with my interpretations!

{First} Black and White - I was going to enter this for the I Heart Faces paper challenge but I went with another picture of my daughter. It didn't get picked, oh well....

{Two} I ate this - This is what we had for Thanksgiving dinner, yum! I cooked the whole meal.... for three people.........

{Three} Historic - This is a very old rut iron from the 1800's. It has a lot of historic value.... it had a lot of monitary value about 10 years ago, today, not so much (sob)

{Fourth} Off Center - This is a picture of my daughter while I was trying to get a picture of her for the paper challenge. She is off center or off her rocker or something..........

{Fifth} The End - Sorry but I HAD to use this picture. If you have delicate sensibilities then I apologize but I think it is rather funny and a true picture of the end! HAAAAAAAAAA! My cats bunger, as we like to call it!
