Scavenger Hunt Sunday!

I missed last weeks hunt. I was in SC visiting my husband. We had to sleep on airbeds and we had no internet or tv, and I had a cold, so it was not very much fun!

Ok, on to this weeks items:

1. Capture the sky~ I thought I would try and get something interesting with clouds but we either had rain all week or clear skys so I went with this shot up a tree.

2. Everyday ~ Well everyday I do housework, which is not fun at all but it's something that must get done.

3. Furry ~ My big 20lb. cat Ben is VERY FURRY, and he leaves clumps of it all over my house, some in the shape of hairballs.... but we love him so much so we put up with it.

4. Life ~ I wasn't sure what to do for life so I went with the obvious signs of spring. A little bud that will hopefully be blooming very soon!

5. Blurred ~ My first attempt at free lensing! I have to say it is fun, i really want to try and get a portrait trying it.

Well thats it for my photos this week. To see more or play along, head on over to:

I ♥ Faces "RED" photo challenge!

This weeks challenge is for the color red to be in your photo. They chose red this week in support of The American Heart Association and the campaign "Go Red for Women". This is a great cause and something we all should support. I used a photo of my daughter that I took in December while we were on vacation.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday!

Ok, I will be honest, I forgot about this until this morning. I looked through what I took this week and I had everything but a shadow picture so I took that one this morning. Life has just been crazy. My husband took a job in SC so he has been living there while I stay here with our daughter and try and sell our house. So far no one has come to look at it which stinks.... oh enough whining. on to the hunt.

First ~ Shadows - This is the one I took this morning. I used my diningroom table and can I just say I dusted it off first then I used the clone tool to remove more dust from the table and it still looks dusty, actually my whisk looks dusty, this tells you how much I bake, ha never!

Second ~ Pattern or repetition - I was trying to capture some cool water splashes in my sink. This is SERIOUSLY hard and REPETITIOUS! The pattern in this one is kinda cool, but I really wasn't happy with any of the 100 shots I took!

Third ~ Bright white - My kitty, The Bean, loves to sit in  my bathroom window. The light in the morning is so bright it's always such a pretty spot.

Fourth ~ Strong - After the week I had I needed a cocktail, so I made myself a drink. It really wasn't too strong, but it was good. It had spiced rum, orange and pinapple juice in it!

Fifth ~ Warmth - I took this the other day, it's the view from my deck. It was such a beautiful warm sunset.

Well those oare my shots for the week! To play along and see all the other great entries head on over to:

"Fix it Friday" For I Heart Faces!

I haven't done a Fix it Friday photo in awhile. I love this picture so I thought it was time to play again. Here is the original:

It is adorable! I do think it's too dark though and I though it could use a crop so we could see her cute face better. Here is my edit:

I use Paint Shop Pro X2, I find it more intuitive then Photo Shop, plus it's a HECK of a lot cheaper. After the crop I added two layers to give the photo some light and dimension. I added in some pink color to her face to brighten it up, sharpened the eyes and that's it. What do you think? To see more great edits head on over to http://www.iheartfaces.com/

I ♥ Faces "Hearts" photo challenge!

This weeks challenge over at iheartfaces is to have a heart and a face in your photo. I went with a picture I took of my daughter a few months ago. I like the urban, gritty feel it has.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday!

I can't believe I haven't posted anything since last weeks scavenger hunt! I really need to get better at blogging! I guess I am more of a photographer then a writer. Oh well. Anyway, this weeks prompts were fun so here we go:

First ~ Water. I thought I would try to catch some cool drips from my faucet. The bokeh is from colored bottles sitting behind the sink.

Second ~ Quote - I took this picture the other day while I was in SC with my husband. We are moving again. This time from GA to SC. The area we are moving too has loads of tracks and old barns so I am excited for the photo opportunities. I felt the quote fits my life!

Third ~ Window - This is the only pic I didn't take this week. It is a couple of weeks old, but I love it and wanted to share it. I think it looks like it could be a book cover!

Fourth ~ Activity - My husband, doing what he does best! He is a golf pro after all!

Fifth ~ Page 25 of a magazine - Ok, when I read this I was like huh???? So instead of taking a picure of the page, I ripped it out and crumpled it up and this is what you get. I can't wait to see what everyone else did for this one.

Well those are my pics for the week! To see all the others or to join in on the fun head on over to:
